This is a 30 track LP made over the course of a weekend in April 2025.

At the time I was getting frustrated with the long and often tedious process of finishing stuff. It's so easy for me to start recording and just keep going adding new layers or keep tweaking the same bits over and over again. So I built this super basic patch in PureData that's just like an old 4-track recorder but with a bunch of limitations (that arose mostly out of laziness/expediency) - I can't punch in, there's no pausing and rewinding and replacing stuff. There's no metronome or quantization or anything like that. And it's hard coded to only record for 2 minutes. And I found it was really fun, like a little puzzle putting things together - and it sort of didn't matter if anything was good - there's another one coming along in a minute. Another plus is that it doesn't spit out stems, there's no mixing & mastering - I just hit "bounce" once I'm done and it's done - a destructive process. It hit the sweet spot for me between being permanent and disposable.
