lit Littoral Transmissions - Nature's Throne with Gardyloo & Pete McPartlan Wednesday 27th November 2024

Littoral Transmissions (Adam Kinsey & Stephan Barrett) explore an imagined coastline through improvisation and shifting soundscapes, seeking to reinterpret raw materials through improvisational and collaborative approaches. The duo formed exploring the interplay between clarinet and modular synth which provides the core of their sound. Their performances increasingly utilise alternative sound sources including tape loops, found objects, radio, microelectronics and field recordings. They often collaborate with other artists and re-purpose submitted material in live settings.

The primary medium for this project are regular live broadcasts on Resonance Extra, developing long-form sonic explorations in the medium of radio and transmission art. They are regular performers on the London Free Improvisation scene.

Middlesex Filter Beds, 11:07am, one autumn Sunday: squirrel finishes banana skin feast, bounds off // watches from nearby branch as encircled granite begins to sound // winds swirl above and the river's all around // listeners emerge from the marshes kicking through fallen leaves. Featuring Gardyloo & Pete McPartlan.
