Geometric Images (2012)

Installation,lathe cut 12" record, record player.

I recorded some exercises from a book "Geometric Images" that I found in a charity shop about fostering mathematical imagination in school children through a series of spoken instructions. The listener is to perform a series of transformations on mental images of geometric shapes.

Part of Network Music Festival and installed at The Lombard Method.

Taking the notion of networking as a point of departure, invited artists Steven Dickie and Pete McPartlan have made new works encompassing video, sound and object that explore the nature of the singular within a mass and the transmission and exchange of abstract thought."
